HTC Incredible, an alternative to Apple Iphone?

I have been waiting for the release of the Apple iphone on Verizon Wireless, but that may take a while or never. I also have no plans to switch to AT&T because of their patchy coverage and drop calls. I was very excited when hearing about the new HTC Incredible which operates on Android 2.1. This phone may give the Iphone a run for its money considering all the new features it is packed with.

This phone has a 3.7 inch touch-screen and responds to multiple fingers just like the Apple iphone. It comes with a 8 megapixel camera with dual LED lights for flash whereas the iphone only has 2 megapixel. It is very fast with a 1GHz processor and some have said it's faster than the iphone. It has Sense interface which is has seven customizable screens. The voice and data plan offered by Verizon is comparable to the AT&T plan. A very cool feature for social networkers is "FriendStream", which merges Gmail, Facebook and Twitter friends into a single list, allowing you to see everyone's status updates in one place. The downsides are one, it doesn't have as many apps and two, it is not compatible with itunes or Mac computers.

With the ever emerging technology of smartphones, the demand for iphone would probably decrease unless they roll out some extraordinary features. The HTC Incredible seems to have some features that are superior to the iphone and worth purchasing. If you are all about the brand and apps of the iphone, this phone will probably not persuade you, but for those that are looking for a sleek, cool and well designed smartphone, this would be good choice. I personally don't use itunes and I don't need an endless amount of apps, this is probably going to be my next phone purchase.
